Professional Goals for 2018-19
This academic year, I would like to focus on two areas-- Standard 3: Teacher demonstrates individual approach to students’ educational needs and Standard 6: Teacher establishes a classroom culture conducive to learning. In relation to standard 3, meeting students' individual needs, I intend to work toward this goal by collaboratively designing home learning menus with the third grade team in effort to create a more flexible and personalized home learning experience for students and parents. This process will require considerable discussion and collaboration to agree on an evolving menu that meets our students' needs throughout the year in various subjects areas. While working on standard 6, I plan that my focus will be to establish a pleasant and positive classroom culture specifically through the use of responsive classroom's morning meeting routines.
