Professional Goals for 2017-18

Goal Statements:

1- This year, I would like to focus on collaboration(standard 9). This year I have two new triad members, and three new team members. Each week we have team meetings with coaches, and additionally, I am leading the ES science vertical team. This amounts to a great deal of time spent each week collaborating. My aim is to develop positive, productive, relationships with each team member and coach. I would like to reflect on what is working well in each collaborative setting, and what might be improved.

2- My second priority is  professional learning (standard 11). I have had a Twitter account for a number of years which I have used only sporadically. This year, I have been making an effort to read and share educational articles, as well as, gain some insight into the excellent work that my colleagues have been sharing. I would like to make the use of Twitter a habit in effort to increase my exposure to highly effective teaching practices, and try implement techniques I find especially exciting. I would like to make a goal to post on Twitter at least once or twice a week, and find 1-2 ideas to try in class per trimester.
